National Chore-Free Day For Mothers, April Fools, Featured Posts, oh my!

Morning all,

Yesterday was most productive in tons of ways. Family-wise, got the kids to the gym, did the circle walk with them, talked about superficial friendships and why superficial people sometimes seem to get an edge over the rest of us, etc. Kids are back in school today.

Workwise, I was a tornado. First off, I hacked my theme at AskOwlbert.com and added in a Featured Post as well as a Get Answers button. I owe a Hat Tip to Darren Rowse, his commenters and Chris Brogan for that; I’ll have to write that post this morning.

Then I focused on my April Fools joke that I’m building for 4/1/08. You can see hints at it over at all my Rants ; I bought the domain name yesterday and have to storyboard it today. I’m really not looking forward to that as it will require a MASSIVE amount of brainpower. I’ll probably sketch the ideas out during my kids’ karate this afternoon.

Btw – for the search term Twitter Rants – I’m in the top 10.

Writing-wise, I researched content for “Make Up Your Own Holiday” Day plus 26 other insightful blogging ideas for my weekly content-finding section. It was then I learned that tomorrow is Make Your Own Holiday day, so I wrote about:

• National Brainy Blog Tip Day – March 26th, 2008 – are YOU ready?
• March 26th – National 300 Pushups Day (and other unique blogging ideas you can use)
• National Chore-Free Day For Mothers, Wednesday, March 26th – how will you celebrate it?

I will admit, that was fun.

Oh, and I also updated Monetizing your blog via Amazon tricks your mother never told you about – Part 1 to test out my Features page….and wrote RANT – What Twitter REALLY is missing Part 4 – Groups!

Like I said, big day.

Martial Arts wise, today is Tuesday! That means Brazilian Juijitsu in the morning, Advanced karate in the afternoon, Kendo following that, and adult sparring following that. I’ve done some massive self-analysis at how utterly, well, incompetent I was on last Friday, and am ready to not think and just flow.

And so starts the day,
