RescueInk! Tough Biker Guys With Hearts of Gold – Social network your passions

Jul 6th, 2008 | By Barbara | Category: Coaching, Make Things Simple

Rescue InkWhen you think of social networking, do you think of

Big brawny tattooed guys who would strike fear in the heart of Godzilla (and oh by the way, they rescue dogs too)?

Nope, neither would I!  But it’s true and it’s true with a vengence!

Gentle reader, I bring to your attention:

...You take a look at us, and maybe your first reaction is to cross to the other side of the street. Just remember to look both ways before you do.

We’re not a gang, vigilantes or a social organization, but we do have that certain "in your face" style when it comes to animal abusers….

You may find us hanging out together at a hot rod show, tattoo parlors, or even hitting up the blacktop together on our bikes for a little road trip, but the main thing that brings us together is our love of animals. We met because we were all doing the same thing on our spare time: rescuing and finding homes for abandoned and abused animals. None of us did it for money; we did it because we cannot stand by while anyone mistreats an animal!

We formed Rescue Ink™ because the problem of animal abuse and neglect has grown beyond the resources of the existing animal welfare agencies. We love the work done by some of the local shelters, but they cannot possibly keep pace with the volume of problems that need to be addressed.

That’s where Rescue Ink™ comes in. We will stop at nothing within the bounds of the law to protect animals at risk. We will intercede without hesitation when we are informed of a situation that needs to be addressed, and we will address it. If we need to convince people to do the right thing … we can be very convincing, we’ll even buy animals if that’s what it takes to get them away from abusers. …MORE….

Now, I don’t know about you, but personally I find their attitude and personas….ROCK!

What an utterly magnificent goal…and how admirable of them to bring the force of their tremendously powerful personalities to a cause where the victims, abused animals, have no ability to speak.

This is one group of savvy online folk as well.  Not only do they have excellent copy at:

They also have their own MySpace page over at http://www.myspace.com/rescueink and http://www.mygrito.com/RescueInk/ too!  You can read more about them at:

Animal rescue and welfare is something about which I’m passionate (hence my Petfinder widget you see in the right column).

Victor Buddy AmatoIt turns out that RescueInk will be appearing at a local dogwalk nearby with our Chief of Monmouth County SPCA, Victor Buddy Amato as well – he’s our town’s local Animal rights hero.

Obviously….great minds think alike!

Which brings me to the most important part of this post, of course….you.

Tell me now.

Be honest, okay?

When you teach your friends and families about the benefits of the Internet, do you have a preconceived notion that "it’s computers….they’ll be clueless about it anyways?"

Or do you think to yourself…

Appearances can be deceiving…who knows what brilliance might shine forth if only I light the fire for them to learn?

 Hmmmm?

Are you unintentionally shortchanging your friends who would probably take the Internet and run with it to the far corners of the galaxy…if only there were someone to illuminate their path?

Hmmmm Part II?

Remember….we’re all fellow travelers in this journey called "life" – helping out where you can is just a wise thing to do.

You never know just where that little bit of knowledge you choose to share will be the difference of success or failure to those whom you touch.

Enjoy!

Cool article about RescueInk; my wife saw the Ellen show and told me about it. They should get a lot of publicity.

From what I’ve seen online, more and more people are writing about them!

If you have a blog or even a MySpace or Facebook page, you can do the same. The more people who get the word out about the organization the better!

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Barbara

stop killing animals as people like to do to make money off of the hides or like the ivory of elephants. Boy, that just makes my blood boil about the elephants. They are so human like and intelligent and we have to almost kill them off for the ivory. Go guys!!!
