=-=-= Some Journeys You MUST Walk On Your Own =-=-=
You know, it’s grand to have a #6monthchallenge and the like. Totally support it! But you know…sometimes….*something
I’ve been dealing with that myself. And no matter what coaches I might have, nor what cheerleading I can rely upon….the plain fact is, *some* journeys…can be walked ONLY by me.
Just like some journeys can only be walked by *you*.
The Honorable Husband unit came up with a grand idea today. He suggested (gently, I might add) that I’m still too tied up with the past; to move ahead to the future, I simply have to, well, *let go*.
Such wisdom.
You see, you really *cannot* succeed in your planning *until* you give yourself permission to:
* Look at the future square in the face
* Realize that if you keep sitting in a rut, nobody will rescue you
and most importantly:
* LET GO of whatever thingees are causing you to stagnate.
‘course, that’s ‘way tough indeed. ‘Matter of fact, I just spent a rather huge number of hours going back and forth about what I choose to do…until I finally said, “Oh FlorbyToe, just freakin’ DO IT!”
And it was painful (made ‘way more so by my own personal hero’s journey). Really painful.
But I *did* it.
Let’s now move this conversation to the most important person reading it….you!
Planning is *good*.
But you HAVE to be in the *mindset* to embrace it all.
You HAVE to be willing to undergo ickified discomfort if that’s what is required.
Because nobody, and I mean *nobody*…will do it for you.
I honor you all who have the courage to take control…and take that first step of the journey that shall change your life.
Grow strong,
Barbara Ling
