iPhone ManiaHave you learned to adore and worship the iPhone yet?

No?  Might I humbly inquire (if you’re trying to make money online, heck, offline even)….

WHY ON EARTH NOT??????

Like it or not, the facts are simple.  Bazillions MORE people are investing in smart phones/mobile phones/phones that slice, dice and teach the children Calculus etc. to access the Internet.  And as accessing the Internet ideally means, visiting your niche site or niche blog and buying everything in site, you really should start to address this particular audience.

You see, the latest/greatest iPhone (3G) is coming out next month (and remember, next month starts tomorrow!).  And Steve Jobs, master marketer that he is (he’s one of my best students you know), I’ll almost guarantee is the man behind the current iPhone shortage that exists.  I blogged about this on another of my sites weeks ago, but check this out:

…A few weeks ago we reported on iPhone shortages and how it was fueling speculation of a new model. Still two weeks away from WWDC and the Apple Store is still showing both the 8G and 16GB versions of the first generation iPhone are "currently unavailable". Either Apple missed the mark on inventory management or it’s a genius marketing ploy to boost excitement and sales of the upcoming 3G iPhone.

While it’s certainly normal for a company to clear out stock prior to the lauch of a new model, but this has to be affecting Apple’s profits. Steve Job had predicted Apple would sell 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008. The clock has been ticking and one must wonder why Apple has missed the mark when it comes to managing their inventory. One could surmise that Apple was concerned that returns would be an issue once the new model was announced. Customers have 15 days to return an iPhone without a penalty, so theoretically May 26th would have been "perfect timing" to run out of stock. Reports have stores also running low, if not completely out of stock. There have been reports of eBay sales of first generation iPhone sales topping $700 and up. How did Apple get this wrong or did they? …MORE….

I’ll tell you this much – Steve doesn’t make mistakes like that.  It’s simply an example of his extremely effective marketing…marketing that’s creating a frenzy among consumers today.

Currently, the rumor is the iPhone will launch on  June 9th.    You want to make certain:

You can even now start to add a Mobile Blogging or iPhone category to your blog today, and start to address the niche mobile needs of your viewers!

This is one reason why I have now over a dozen iPhone/mobile phone feeds in my Feedreader – it always helps me to stay abreast of what future trends and consumers will demand.  I want to ensure MY blog meets these demands…before they manifest themselves into reality.

‘course, you can’t forget the age-old fun of Silly iPhone Tricks too!

Thus…if you’re not prepared for the onslaught of mobile goodness soon to arrive to the world by you….consider this to be a wakeup call.  Your future profits will thank you for it.

Enjoy,

Barbara
